My name is Marina and I love to sculpt one of a kind dolls. I have been sculpting for 2 years and I made a variety of dolls in many styles. Some are as complicated as ball jointed dolls and others are a lot simpler.
They're all sculpted out of Paperclay and painted with acrylics.
I have been lucky to be the featured doll-maker on Art Doll Quarterly in Autumn 2010.
For this giveaway I have made a little doll inspired to the vintage Charlottes that I'm collecting.
She is 4.5" tall, her arms move up and down and she can stand on her own.
Please leave a message for me to be entered in the giveaway and don't forget to leave your email address for contacting you in case you win. If you're reading this from the Hive, you will have to come to my actual website to be entered for the giveaway.
On Feb 17th I will use a random number generator to pick the winner.
Good luck!

A warm greeting from a snow laden Massachusetts. Marina, your dolls are amazing. You have such a lovely talent. I began working with polymer clay when my oldest sister came to visit from CA three years ago. She brought some clay with her and we sat down at the kitchen table and I made my first doll. I had no idea I could sculpt. Your work is inspirational to me. I recently bought a package of paper clay and am looking forward to discovering what will emerge from that. Come visit me if you can. Blessings in the journey, #393
ReplyDeleteI am now a follower :)
HI Marina ... your dolls are stunning ... breathtaking actually ... if i had to choose a favourite i couldn't ... they are all such personalities! i gotta say i do love the faux charlottes ... they are so cute! I am not a doll maker but i do have a doll i made when i was 7 on my blog ... i wish i could make dolls ... i have really enjoyed looking at your flickr and etsy sites ...

Wow...your dolls are beautiful. My business partner and I have been talking about learning how to sculpt. I'd love to learn how and I saw at the begining of your blog a list of books. So do you prefer paperclay or polymer clay? Right now we work with polymer, but have bought some paper clay to try out.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd love to win this precious doll. She will look great next to all my handmade faires I collect...:D
Bright blessings,
